The new high-speed rail line linking Erfurt with Leipzig and Halle was opened this week and marked a major milestone in the German Unity Transport Project No. 8 (VDE8), one of the largest ETCS implementations projects in Europe.
DB Netz AG has used ERTMS CamCorder for the tests of this line of VDE8. "VDE8.2 is a complex project on which Test and Commissioning is crucial. DB Netz AG and the ETCS suppliers work together on this important aspect of the project, and DB Netz AG sees a large added value to use the ERTMSCamCorder, not only for the gains in time, but also as to ensure a high quality of the test and commissioning phase" said Patrick Steinebach,Leiter from DB Netz AG.
